“The beaches here are just paradise,” boasted Gerner.
“Naples is referred to as the Platinum Coast because
it’s better than gold. Since we’re located on the Gulf
side of Southern Florida, the water is slightly warmer
and much calmer. Curling your toes in the white, powdery sand is a great feeling,” teased Gerner. “It gives you
a sense of freedom.
“There is excellent fishing in the area. Choose from
fishing off the beach for snook, deep sea fishing for
grouper, or cast a line in the calm backwaters of the
Everglades for red fish. It is so relaxing and peaceful.
“Each New Year’s Eve, our family has a traditional
dinner at The Dock restaurant on Naples Bay; then
after dinner, we walk six blocks to the beach where we
collect sand dollars and watch the fireworks. There just
aren’t many places anywhere in the world where you
can do this,” extolled Gerner
