Quick Note: Samsung Unveils Series 7 AIO Computers
AIOs have screens only 16mm thick and hardware in the base
Samsung today announced a new Series 7 all-in-one (AIO) range that is geared towards the consumer market.
All Series 7 models have the same 16mm thick, 23-inch screen. The computer screen can be laid flat to create a horizontal touch surface. The machines also feature Core i3 and Core i5 processors along with Windows 7 Home Premium.
“Samsung’s new all-in-one PC provides all of the benefits of a full-sized desktop computer without the cumbersome tower and wires often associated with that form factor,” said Scott Ledterman, director of mobile PC marketing at Samsung Enterprise Business Division. “It’s an ideal choice for consumers looking to upgrade their PC, as it will provide them with the latest technology while freeing up valuable desk space in their home or office setup.”
The Series 7 has virtual surround sound and a built-in DVD drive and webcam. The two versions of the computer include the DP700A3B-A01US with a Core i3-2120T at 2.6GHz processor, 6GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. The DP700A3B-A02US uses a faster Core i5-2390T with 3.5GHz Turbo Boost processor, 8GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Both of these machines have Intel HD integrated graphics. The machines both have Bluetooth, 1.3MP webcams and 8W speaker systems. Wi-Fi is also integrated.
Both AIOs will launch on October 10 and the prices will range from $999 to $1,199.
