Hei walked down a path that was connected to the stone cliff that was behind him. the metal clanked under his feet as he walked and looked around. he was wearing his usual civilian clothing so that he could easily hide his identity because no one had ever seen him without his mask on and those who did didnt live to tell. he sighed and glanced at the ground as he approached the building. people ran back and forth between the cliff and the building. he could hear them speaking but he didnt care about what till he heard the word seal. he tilted his head to the side to listen to the words being spoken.

"we got a new message from Ciel, we are to watch the gates for escapes and we must make sure no one escapes." the person who was talking turned to look at Hei and he acted like he was tying his shoes. the man walked over to him. "excuse me? civilians arent supposed to be here and we will have to ask you to leave."

Hie looked back and his dull eyes glared for a moment but he stood and smiled nervously while scratching his head as if he was sorry."um well you see im not a civilian...i was called here to work see heres the paper." he held out the paper to show him that he wasn't lieng. he turned his head away as the man read and his eyes went back to there usual dull staring look. the man gave him back his paper and nodded saying that they would escort him in. as he walked behind them he realized there was a huge wall behind sanctuary that was off in the distance in another place but still visible from there. the man leading him smiled and spoke to him.

"ah thats a wall they put up after a meteor hit the our world im sure youve at least heard of it right...hells gate...its there to keep out the infection and enrance of people called contractors.."

"ive heard of it and i know what it is to. he grinned very slightly. "i study it, you see. its always been something i was interested in." he chuckled at that still keeping his eyes dull. Contractors killed all of the time... they don't care who you are usually they are there for there pleasure in killing. they can even trick you into believing something called a doll was the real person and not just a shell with some memories and emotions in it that could fall over dead at any moment and lure you into a trap.

Katara sat down quietly the scythe she always carried was resting next to her feet along with her long red dress. Katara's eyes dully scanned the horizon before mumbling quietly to herself about the sky. The shadow that rested on the floor was not her own shadow. The shadow looked like a child's shadow. A boy none the less a voice spoke inside her head

"This world isn't really the way it should be. Nothing seems right anymore. You can stay out a while longer besides you haven't been touched on you left eye by the dead so for now I don't have a choice but to sleep." The voice said

hei walked by katara while following the men. he glanced over at her with his eyes so dull it seemed he was nothing more then a walking spirit. he grinned slightly as if he saw something funny then ran up to the men. he tapped on there shoulders. "hey how much longer till we get there?" he asked them innocently. he smiled though it didnt even touch his eyes.

"not much longer see theres the end of the bridge."

Me? Higuroshi chuckled Why I'm not up to anything at all Arame-san.

hei grinned knowing they wouldn't resist he chuckled.he looks back his eyes dull but with a glint of red in them.

electricity sparked along the bridge making an explosion on one of the rails were a small tank of gas had been sitting. he made himself look startled and he looked at the gaurds who were guiding him. "what was that?" his eyes were wide and he spun around to look. the gaurds looked startled and they turned back as well.

"oh no not again! this cant be good. the more these seal generaters burst the less of a chance we have of keeping this sealed." when they ran off distracted he turned and began walking towards the building.

his eyes were dull again.

Higuroshi's chuckle was heard in Katara's mind Clever he mumbled before telling Katara to continue following. Katara followed looking around the strange place. She gave a slight sigh before she noticed that her feet felt like they never touched the floor anymore.

"Stage one has just begun..." She mumbled staring down at the ground before continuing.

Hei realized that they were following still. he turned around looking at them normally. "yes can i help you?" he asked smiling at them with his eyes closed. "you know civilians should not be here right? really if those guards see you you'll be in trouble." the sad thing is...right now no one but these gaurds and the people in tokyo knew about contractors. no one can sense there use of power unless they have the right equipment and the ones with that were in tokyo. he wouldn't let them be to suspicious of him, he knew there vampires eyes glowed red here to so he could pull that off easily. he was always one step ahead of his enemies.

Katara smiled back though it was alittle halfhearted "Not exactly a civilian so technically I can't get in trouble for being back here." She said keeping the scythe behind her. "And I think I can take care of myself so you don't have to worry about the guards finding me. Besides to them i don't exist. No one can see me except for you so It just looks like your talking to the air." She curtsied and said "I am Aname, Katara. Nice to meet you."

Aname-san was it really necessary to tell him that much...? Higuroshi groaned

Hei smiled.'well i can change that' he thought to him self. "well you see... thats the thing. there are demons sealed up here and we all know that they can see you. hell there hidden every were here. do you think they will really let you go. oh and your still a civilian." he held out his hand. "by the way nice to meet you. my name is Hei and i guess since you gave me a little info i guess i can tell you something to. im a vampire and i can tell your a little more than just a nonexistent person." he caught sight of a few guards staring at him and he waved.

"sir who are you talking to?" they looked jumpy.

"oh im just talking to an imaginary friend dont mind me." a voice rang in his head, it was a girls voice. 'you idiot make them see you as more insane why dont you?" he turned around looking down the bridge and waved to someone. "Hey Yin how are you? say hello to my new friend."

a girl with silver hair walked up staring at katara. she bowed to her and smiled blankly. "nice to meet you." her eyes were a redish pink almost like cherry blossoms.

hei looked around. "Hey have you seen Mou lately hes been disappearing again." he heard a small thump and turned around to see a black cat with purple eyes land next to him.

"mrooowwww!" 'you idiot ive only been following you for an hour now.' the cats voice rang through his head.

Aname looked at him grinning slightly but hiding it with her fist as she put it up a little before her lip. "You seem to hang around a few interesting people. And for the record I can take care of myself no demon can take me" She said grinning cockily.

Aname-san you shouldn't say things like that... Higuroshi mumbled

Aname gave an annoyed growl What the fuck is going on! We have to find the stupid crescent diamond so we can fix this

hei started to grin while he was looking toward Mou and his eyes glowed a little red as electricity suddenly pulsed through the floor towards a group of guards. one of them got shocked and spun around while the others fell to the ground. the guards eyes turned silver as he looked around at them. Hei knew he wouldn't suspect him so he just crouched down and pet Mou as he stared at him like he was the biggest idiot alive. he started to purr. the guard stopped looking and settled his eyes on katara.

"you! Who do you think you are?" the guard walked up to them glaring.

Hei looked back blinking and answered him. "i am here for a job and i don't know about her. shes my friend though and i was wondering." he had a glint of something in his eyes mixed with a tiny inkling of insanity. (inkling means glint) "do you think she could get a small job here to?"

"so it was you who hit me with electricity?" he looked calmer now for some reason and he grinned. "alright Hei and ...'friend' come with me." he turned and began to walk.

Hei chuckled standing up his eyes in the inhumanly dull state they usually were in. "come on katara we will get you inside since it seems thats why you originally came here." he turned and began to walk the cat and girl following.

While the guard quetioned her Katara looked surprised How could the guard have seen me.... she thought with a slight glare at Hei then glancing over at the guard before hearing Higuroshi

Now really isn't the time to question it don't you think. Just keep moving forward Higuroshi gave her a slight push to follow Hei if anything it had something to do with the electricity. Katara followed Hei having a almost bad feeling about him. Just what exactly is he?

Hei kept looking forward a sadistically dark smile spreading on his lips. he glanced back without turning his head. he wondered what they were thinking. they had no clue how dangerous this could be. he turned his eyes back to the front actually startled after he heard a huge explosion. hearing sword slashes he stopped and concentrated on the sight.

Akutenshi landed on the end of the bridge with his katana out to the side. blood dripped off and into a puddle on the ground as he stood up with his purely agonized eyes. he grinned spinning around instantly and slicing into 30 more guards within a second. he began to run towards the building laughing insanely and yet like a child at the same time. he pulled out a second katana and crossed them. when he got to the door he sliced them into two and kicked them in. he jumped in and landed in front of about 100 white winged guardians. he stood his swords towards the ground his head down as the glass still fell behind him. lifting his head a centimeter and turning his eyes toward them he grinned pulling one sword to his shoulder. "hello there. im looking for my sister. have you seen her" he stared smiling for couple of minuets until no one answered. he chuckled. "ok fine then." in two fluid movements he was infront of the first one looking up as he crouched. " your dead."blood dripped from his blade as the girls wings fell to the ground in peices and her body was sliced in half.

hei looked confused. "who was that? friend of yours by any chance?" he turned around and glanced at katara.

Katara gave a slight glare before looking at Hei "I was about to ask you the same thing." She said taking a slight step back as the world became distorted to her eyes

First Step is confusion.

The step she took sunk into the ground. No... She tried to gasp but the word would not come out. The area around her seemed to become shredded and flashes of things flashed through her eyes.

A City... Completely abandoned by life. The deepness of the darkness it's sunken in just a mere shell of a hollow soul. The anger and sorrowful cries of the nothingness that use to be fill the abandoned streets with the hollow emptiness that should never have been. As you slowly wander the empty streets then a flash of light leaves you in darkness.

Eyes stare at you from the darkness only starting to make the world seem like a desperate eternity. Grasping on to your light is all you can do... Theres no more but that.

Fear....

N-No... She tried to say as the confusion of the disorder in her eyes started to turn to something much worse. Confusion is just a state of mind that will leave you alone. Stay in the acidic loneliness too long and you'll start to hate this world for everything it's worth. What use to be joy starts to become memory. Why is this happening... Please help me.... are words that your distortion can't even think about helping. Now your stuck in fear. You don't know what you fear but you know you fear something. Out of confusion for this fear you see something much worse than you had imagined. Nothing can ready you for this. Yourself...

You see the pain you've caused and you can't help but feel the world might find it's peace after your gone.. Fear and desperation get the better of you and you start to hope for death as you become more desperate death becomes a prayer you say as you keep whispering to yourself begging praying....

You've reached it.... It's over for me.... Damn all of this... Why is it like this.... Don't save me... Let me drown in peace. Please!! Give me the peace I've been searching for!!! I DON'T WANT TO SUFFER ANYMORE PLEASE!!!!!!

Insanity...

Finally this one kills you.... Someone under a tree... The world is black and white. They stand up you can't see the eyes but you can see their crying. They drop. hanging from the tree. To hopeless to struggle they hang. Swinging from side to side as the cry seems to echo abit.

And as I sit in the acidic darkness I wonder... Is it all worth it. Why am I forced to live... Is it worth it...? If I am loved.... If I am important... If i'm not selfish.... Why am I suffering so much....? Why am I still breathing.... Why do I hide in fear to look into the mirror. Why is nothing I do ever good enough...? Why... Why is all I can say... Why why why...?

If this is insanity.... Then insanity is knowing the truth.... Those who are sane are ignorant. I can see this world for it's rotting judgment! I can see the sins they are trying to hide!! I know it all I can see right through your lies, your masks, your false smiles! I can see through it all!!!

.....You know what pisses me off the most... How they continue to tell me it's okay.... It's not okay... It hasn't been for ten years. It won't be in ten more years. Nothing that is ever done will make this okay! Nothing!!

Hei stared at her worry actually burning through his eyes. "Katara!" he lunged forward grabbing her before she hit the ground. "katara snap out of it! snap out of it its just a bad dream! "

yin looked at a wall. "shes suffering inside her mind i can hear it because of the water in her body. i cant tell what shes thinking though i only know shes suffering."

Shikaku stepped onto the bridge with a smile. "i know what shes thinking. i can hear it so clearly. i can enter peoples minds with out any trouble. hear is what you should know." he smiled wider. "she is falling deeper into insanity and as she dose she becomes confused and dosnt know what reality is. she dreams of suicide by hanging and says it would be the most peaceful thing. oh the voice that speaks to her so so cold and hateful. so ....how should i put this. convincing? if you dont wake her up she will not hold it in to do something harsh. or maybe Higaroshi should wake her up? or is he going to let his fears take him over to? he probably thinks the same thing.... but you know...if some one loves him and others care for him than why the hell would he act like that? I guess he just thinks what every single God Damned person is a lier and even the one who says he loves him. if he dosnt want to hurt them he would learn not to think that way. yes maybe sane people are ignorant and the insane know the truth but what is there to do about it now? dont wallow in it... break free and wait...wait till the time comes to finish it." he looked at Hei and Hei looked confused.

he looked down at kitara and looked worried again. he sent a soft shock through her body trying yo wake her and in the process he accidently touched her eye.
